This just sounds too good to be true – what’s the catch?

There’s no catch. No one benefits from prescriptions that go unfilled – not the pharmacy, the patient, the health-care provider, nor the community.  Pharmacies recognize that it’s better to offer a “managed” discount to customers that increase the likelihood of getting them into their stores, then not filling a prescription at all. Honoring Life Saver Rx Cards allows pharmacies to…

  • help improve medication adherence by making prescription medications more affordable for their customers.
  • improve customer retention levels, build brand loyalty, and attract new customers.
  • bring people through the doors that spend money on other things while they’re in the store.

How do I use my Life Saver Rx Card?

Simply present your LifeSaver Rx Card to your pharmacist each time you fill or refill prescriptions and ask for your discount. Make sure to ask the pharmacy NOT to substitute any other discount card, as the LifeSaver Rx Card gives the best discounts, and at the same time, also donates $2 for each prescription discounted with your card.

I already have another prescription discount card – why should I use the Life Saver Rx Card instead?

Not all prescription discount cards are created equally. The truth is that no one discount card will always give you the best price. You want to use a card that provides you with the best discounts, on a consistent basis. Our pricing research shows that the Life Saver Rx Card offers our cardholders the best discount (as high as 85%, and averaging over 50%) more often than our competitors, off the regular price of prescriptions.

My insurance doesn’t cover some drugs I need to take – can I use my Life Saver Rx Card to get discounts on these drugs?

Yes, if your insurance doesn’t cover a prescription drug that you need to take, you can use your Life Saver Rx Card to see if there’s a better discount price available at your pharmacy.

If I have prescription insurance, can I still use my Life Saver Rx Card?

Although you can’t use the Life Saver Rx Card at the same time as your prescription insurance, your card can still save you money at the pharmacy…

  • If a prescription drug you need is not covered by your prescription plan, use your card to get the lowest price.
  • If you have a co-pay, the Life Saver Rx Card price may be lower than your co-pay.
  • If you have a lapse in your prescription coverage.
  • If you have a high deductible to meet before your insurance kicks in.
  • To share with other family members and friends who don’t have prescription insurance.
  • To save on your pet prescriptions, when filled at your local pharmacy.

How do I find out if the Life Saver Rx Card price is better than my co-pay?

If you have to pay a prescription co-pay, present your Life Saver Rx Card to the pharmacy and ask them to check our discounted price to see if it’s lower than your co-pay, and then pay the lower of the two prices. Make sure the pharmacy knows that you’re not trying to use your Life Saver Rx Card at the same time as your insurance, or they won’t check our discounted price for you.

Can I use the Life Saver Rx Card for my pet’s prescriptions?

Yes, you can. Use it to save on any prescription drugs that your pet needs that are also used to treat human conditions. Ask you vet if the medications they need can be filled at your local pharmacy. Keep in mind that your Life Saver Rx Card won’t save you on things like flea and tick, worming, or heart-worm medications.
